The three badges

They are not interchangeable, and two of them have to be earned. That is the point of them — a badge anyone can take says nothing.

Listed — any of our 149 venues. It says you are in the directory, nothing more.

Verified — for venues that have checked their listing and confirmed the details are right. 26 venues so far.

Lap Record — for venues on our lap records board with a venue-confirmed time.

How to get verified

Look at your listing and tell us it is right, or tell us what is wrong. That is the whole process. Corrections go live within 48 hours, and we would rather have a gap on a page than a guess. Email us at the contact page and mention your venue.

Verified venues also get priority when we pass on customer enquiries, because we would rather refer people on details we know are current. That is the only thing the badge is connected to — it is not sold, and displaying it is entirely optional.

Where to put it

A footer works best, or an "as featured on" strip, or your press page. If you are not the person who edits the website, forward the snippet to whoever is — on WordPress or similar it drops into a footer widget or a custom HTML block in about a minute.

The rules, briefly

• Use the badge that matches your venue. The tool will not build a Verified badge for a venue that has not been verified.
• Link it to your own listing page, which the generated code does automatically.
• Do not recolour, stretch or crop it. Scale it by all means — it is vector and stays sharp at any size.
• If your listing stops being accurate, tell us and we will fix it. If you would rather not be listed at all, say so and the page comes down.
• The badge is free. It is not for sale, and paying us would not get you one.
