Karting Parties by Age

How many UK venues will take your child, and what changes at each age. Counts are from our directory and update as venues confirm their limits; minimum height is a separate rule and catches people out more often than age does.

Turning 6

18 venuesSix is where karting starts to open up, but almost always on a separate junior or cadet circuit rather than the main track. Height matters more than age at this point — several venues that accept six-year-olds still need 120cm or more, and that is what turns parties away on the day.

Turning 7

22 venuesSeven adds a handful of venues over six, and the same rule applies: it is the junior session, not the main circuit. Worth ringing ahead if the party has a mix of ages, because a seven-year-old and a nine-year-old often cannot race in the same session.

Turning 8

109 venuesEight is the national standard and the number that matters most. The venues available to you jump several times over, because this is the age most UK circuits open their main track. From here you are choosing on location, track length and what else is on site rather than on whether they will take your child at all.

Turning 9

110 venuesNine is comfortably inside the mainstream. Nearly every venue that runs junior sessions will take a nine-year-old, so pick on the practical things: party room, food, and whether the circuit is long enough to stay interesting for a full session.

Turning 10

112 venuesTen opens up longer circuits and faster junior karts at some venues. If the party is mostly ten and over, it is worth asking about session length and whether they run a grand prix format with a podium — it lands better at this age than a plain open session.

How it works

1. Tell us your child's age, the party size and your city using the party quotes form.

2. We match your enquiry to up to four local venues that run junior karting and parties — checked against their real minimum ages and heights, so nobody gets turned away on the day.

3. The venues reply to you directly with packages, prices and availability — usually within a couple of working days. It's free, there's no mark-up, and no obligation to book.
