Teamworks Karting York sits on Monks Cross Leisure Park on the north-east edge of the city, alongside the retail park and within easy reach of the A64 and the ring road. It is one of six venues in the Teamworks group and, for York itself, the main indoor karting option.
The circuit is 400m and runs indoors, with 200cc karts for adults and 160cc cadet karts for juniors. What sets York apart is its junior provision: Bambino electric karts for drivers aged 4 to 8, a wider range of scaled equipment than most indoor tracks carry. York is a karting-only site — there is no laser tag or simulator offer here.
This is the most family-oriented venue in the Teamworks group on the published detail. Karting runs from age 8 with a 125cm minimum height, and drivers under 16 need a responsible adult aged 18 or over with them — but the 160cc cadet karts and Bambino electric karts mean younger and smaller drivers are properly catered for rather than turned away.
Bambino electric karts take drivers from age 4, so very young children in a family group have something to do. Children's parties, stag and hen bookings and corporate events are all catered for.
The venue is at Kathryn Avenue, Monks Cross Leisure Park, York YO32 9JS, with on-site parking and the rest of the leisure park on the doorstep. There is a bar and cafe plus conference facilities and catering.
Teamworks advertises a standing karting offer at £38 across the group, with formats including Karting 30, Grand Prix for groups of 10 or more, Cadet Club on Sundays for under-16s and team endurance racing. Confirm which run at York and current prices when you book.
Karting is from age 8 with a minimum height of 125cm, and drivers under 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult aged 18 or over. Below that, Bambino electric karts take drivers from age 4.
It is one of the better options for young families. The Bambino electric karts take drivers from age 4, with 160cc cadet karts above that and 200cc karts for adults.
The circuit is 400m, indoors, running 200cc adult karts and 160cc cadet karts.
It is on Kathryn Avenue at Monks Cross Leisure Park, York YO32 9JS, with on-site parking.
Teamworks runs six indoor sites across England. If this one is not convenient, these are the alternatives — the other five sites in the group.
