The Circuit

The International Circuit stretches to 1,000 metres over twelve corners, with a long high-speed straight that rewards a good exit from the preceding turn and gives you a proper run before braking. At that length you can run full race formats rather than short bursts, so consistency and racecraft matter more than a single quick lap. Adults and older juniors drive the 4-stroke N35-ST, an 8.5hp kart good for around 50mph, while experienced 16-plus drivers (or assessed 14-15s) can step up to the 125cc Rotax DMAX at roughly 70mph. Cadet and Junior classes keep younger racers on appropriately sized machinery.

Who Should Visit

The wide age range and mixed kart fleet make Tamworth a good fit for families and mixed-ability groups — juniors can start from age six, and standard sessions need no experience or kit, with helmets and suits supplied. Formats run from 20-minute practice through 30-minute sprints to 50-minute D40 races and unlimited hour-long sessions.

It is also set up for bigger events: endurance team races over three hours or more, all-day race schools, and corporate days backed by a clubhouse with spectator decking and a hospitality suite seating up to 40 with trackside views.
