Get corporate quotes →Castle Combe Karting sits inside Castle Combe Circuit in Wiltshire, one of Britain's best-known motor racing venues, and has been run by Drive-Tech since 1988. Karting on the grounds of a real race circuit gives it an atmosphere that an industrial estate simply cannot match.
Along with M4 Karting a few miles away, it gives Wiltshire two genuine karting options — a county that until recently looked bare on the map.
The kart track is outdoors and runs to 350 metres. The venue makes a specific claim worth repeating: the track uses the same surface as Formula 1 circuits, which affects grip and how the karts behave under braking.
The karts are 200cc Honda-engined machines quoted at up to 40mph. At 350 metres this is a compact, technical layout rather than a long flowing one — precision counts for more than outright speed.
Adult karting is open to anyone aged 15 and over. Junior karting covers ages 10 to 15 with a minimum height of 4 feet 8 inches, or 142cm — worth measuring before you travel with a younger child.
There is also a skid pan on the site, and the wider Castle Combe Circuit runs car and bike track days, so a karting visit can sit alongside other motorsport activity.
The track is at Castle Combe Circuit, Chippenham, Wiltshire SN14 7BW, signposted from the B4039 and within easy reach of the M4.
Prices and session times are handled through Drive-Tech's own booking. Because the venue sits inside an active race circuit, it is worth checking availability against the circuit's event calendar before travelling — busy race weekends can affect access.
