About Wight Karting

Wight Karting at Westridge, just outside Ryde, is the Isle of Wight's outdoor circuit. For an island venue that matters more than it might elsewhere — if you are on the Wight and want to go karting, this is the established option, and it is properly set up rather than being an afterthought attached to something else.

The Circuit

The circuit runs to 520 metres outdoors, floodlit and all-weather, so it operates into the evening and through the winter rather than being a summer-only proposition. The karts are four-stroke petrol machines. The venue does not publish a top speed, so we have not listed one.

Who Should Visit

Racing is open from age 8. What lifts this above a one-off attraction is the structure behind it: Junior Track Days run as a training programme for ages 8 to 15, and there is a race series for drivers who want to compete rather than just have a go.

For groups, birthday parties, corporate team-building and stag and hen packages are catered for, with the venue handling groups from 8 up to 50 drivers — a wide range for a circuit this size.

Planning Your Visit

You will find it at Westridge, Brading Road, Ryde PO33 1QS. Phone 01983 565366 or email info@wightkarting.co.uk.

There is trackside licensed catering and a clubhouse on site. Prices and current opening hours were not published in full at the time of writing, so confirm both when booking — particularly worth doing if you are coming over on the ferry and cannot easily come back another day.
