Get corporate quotes →Fast Lane Indoor Raceways is Aberdeen's indoor circuit, at the Broadfold Business Centre in Bridge of Don. For the north-east of Scotland it is the main indoor option, and it is set up for families and mixed groups rather than pure competition.
The track runs to 400 metres indoors with up to 12 karts racing at once, which is a decent grid for a circuit of that length. The fleet is petrol and the venue quotes a top speed of 30mph — deliberately moderate, which fits a venue taking drivers from age 5 upward. Live timing and a leaderboard run through every session.
The age structure is unusually well thought out. Dual karts take passengers from age 5, junior karts open up at 8 with a minimum 25-inch inside leg, and adult karts from 12 with a 29-inch inside leg — measuring by inside leg rather than height is a more practical fit test than most venues manage.
Worth highlighting: the venue keeps a hand-controlled kart for visitors who need additional support, arranged by contacting ahead. Very few UK circuits offer this, and it makes Fast Lane a genuine option for disabled drivers.
The venue is at Broadfold Business Centre, Broadfold Road, Bridge of Don, Aberdeen AB23 8EE, with free on-site parking. Phone 01224 675350 or email info@flhq.co.uk.
Pricing is straightforward: £20 for 10 minutes, £36 for 20 and £48 for 30. The Monday Club runs 6pm to 10pm at £40 for 100 laps. Group, kids' party and corporate rates are quoted individually.
Opening hours are Monday noon to 10pm, Tuesday to Thursday noon to 9pm, Friday noon to 10pm, Saturday 10am to 10pm and Sunday 10am to 8pm. There is a Pitstop Diner on site, and helmet, race suit and gloves are provided.
